On behalf of our client, we are seeking a motivated and reliable dairy assistant to join their friendly team, for an immediate start.

We are looking for a person with 1 – 2 years’ experience and has a desire to progress in the industry.

The farm is situated in Mid Canterbury, and milks 800 cows through a modern 60 bale rotary with automatic cup removers.

Together with our client, we will support you in your career development and training, including on farm training and mentoring.

The farm is a drug free and smoke free environment and may require pre-employment drug testing. The applicant must have a driver’s license, own transport and no criminal convictions.

Accommodation is a modern 3 bedroom house. No pets allowed.

The dairy assistant position involves milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, calving and mating. Also pasture management, general farm maintenance and other duties as directed.

The roster is 8 on 2 off, 8 on 3 off.

Average of 50 hours per week.
