Our client based out of Ashburton is seeking a young talented assistant to help on their 210 hectare, 650 cow farm.

Duties will include milking cows through a modern rotary cowshed which has protrack, a heat dectection camera and auto teat spray.  Bringing in the cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving, setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, completing general maintenance assisting with irrigation, weed control and other duties as required.

You will need to be able to ride a two and four wheeler and have the ability to start in the new season. A full class one drivers licence is essential for this position.

Successful applicant must have a desire to progress in the dairy industry and must be able to pass a police and drug check. There may be random drug testing from time to time.

Good wages with 40 hour week, with single accommodation, and a great farm environment on a smoke and drug free farm. No pets permitted.
