Our Client is a Sharemilker who has two farms.  They are looking for a capable 2IC for one of the farms in the Pendarves area.

Seeking someone with someone with experience and the ability to take on responsibility. 

Can you train staff, allocate jobs within the team, run the farm in the sharemilkers absence? You will be managing a team of 3 motivated and keen staff who are invested in further training and development on and off-farm,

You will have overall responsibility for all milking activities, troubleshooting, rectifying problems and knowing when further advice or help is required as well as keeping an eye on the tanker docket

This is a great opportunity to get stuck into making a difference and using your previous training to influence farm productivity as well as completing documentation required on farm while ensuring all farm policies are implemented.

You will also be responsible for gathering information on farm to influence feeding decisions i.e. farm walks and grass cover and you will need to show that you understand feed budgeting and basic feed calculations to show if cows are being fed the correct amount and be able to analyse post-grazing residuals
