What we need

We are currently seeking two motivated Dairy Assistants with previous farming experience. The farm is 30 minutes from Ashburton and close to Rakaia River for fishing and recreation. This is a tidy and modern farm with 900 cows through a 54 bale rotary cowshed.

This is a unique self-contained system with winter milking and split calving. Roster, remuneration and hours to be discussed.

Duties include milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving. Setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, assisting with irrigation, weed control and general farm and machinery maintenance.

A background in farming would be desirable as is excellent communication and an agile individual who can use their initiative and think on their feet.
