On behalf of our client, we are seeking a motivated, honest and reliable dairy assistant to join their friendly team for the rest of the season.

We are looking for a person who has a desire to progress in the dairy industry.

The farm is 400 ha block in the Ashburton area. They milk 1450 cows through a 80 Bail rotary cowshed. Average hours is 50-55 per week

This farm is drug free, and shared accommodation in a four bedroom house is provided.

Driver’s licence and own vehicle is required. Motorbike experience is preferred.

The dairy assistant position involves milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving. Also setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, completing general maintenance, assisting with irrigation, weed control and other duties as directed.
