What we need
We are currently seeking a Dairy Assistant to start immediately who has a desire to progress in the dairy industry. This is a family farm located in “Mid Canterbury:" close to town. The is a 350ha farm milking 700 cows through a 54 bale rotary cowshed. Average hours is 50/week and the roster is 7/2 June to December then 9/3.

Ideally our clinet is lookign for someone with 6-12 months experience

Remuneration is by negotiation.

Single Accomodation 

Duties include milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving. Setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, assisting with irrigation, weed control and general farm and machinery maintenance.

Essential Requirements
• Current CV with 2 contactable work references
• Pass a drug test
• Current license
• Tractor and motorbike experience
• Reliable transport
