What we need
We are currently seeking a Dairy Assistant who is passionate about working in the dairy industry. The farm is situation in the perfect location only 15 minutes from Timaru and Caroline Bay and fishing along the Pareora River within walking distance.
The farm is 270 ha milking 1050 cows through a modern rotary cowshed. Roster is 11 days on / 3 days off and you will be working in a culture that promotes teamwork, fun and a sense of humour. Remuneration is by negotiation.
Duties include milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving. Setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, assisting with irrigation, weed control and general farm and machinery maintenance.
Experience is preferred although not essential. A background in farming would be desirable.
