What we need
We are currently seeking a Dairy Assistant for a fantastic opportunity to join a large scale operation and learn while being fully supported with a great package and a 5/2 roster. Work-life balance!
The farm is situation in the perfect location and is a lifestyle dream in the heart of South Canterbury. Lying in the folds of the Southern Alps, and only a few kms to Geraldine with the Orari river on your doorstep, this is the perfect place to call home
The farm is 200 ha milking 1150 cows through a modern 60 bale rotary with auto spray and acrs.
Duties include milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving. Setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, assisting with irrigation, weed control and general farm and machinery maintenance.
Experience is preferred although not essential.
