What we need
We are currently seeking 2 Dairy Assistants who want to work on a large-scale dairy farm in Mid Canterbury where team morale and culture is Number One.
This is a great opportunity with a progressive employer. Farming on 2000ha milking 2900 cows over 2 areas - 1500 cows on one side and 1400 through an 80 and 54 bale rotary
The roster is 11 / 3 but flexibility in your days off during the month. Milking starts at 05.30 with lunch supplied and a 3-hour break at 12 each day.
Remuneration is by negotiation and includes accomodation options
Duties include milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving. Setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, assisting with irrigation, weed control and general farm and machinery maintenance.
