What we need

Peel forest has a small but thriving community and set among some of the best scenery on offer. The the perfect spot for your next move located at the gateway to the Rangitata Valley, the base for many adventure activities in the area, including, tramping, rafting, fishing and horse trekking.

We are currently seeking a Dairy Assistant to start in mid-May.

A 217ha dryland farm milking 800 cows in a 50 bale rotary. Average hours are 50/week with a roster of 7/2 and 7/3.

Remuneration is by negotiation and accommodation is provided in a shared 4 bedroom home.

Duties include milking, bringing in cows for milking, assisting with animal health, mating and calving. Setting up and taking down temporary electric fences, weed control and general farm and machinery maintenance.

Essential Requirements

• Current CV with 2 contactable work references

• Pass a drug test

• Current license

• Tractor and motorbike experience

• Reliable transport
