What we need

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dairy assistant, no previous experience necessary, bring your transferable skills to the industry and start 1st June.

Based in Mid Canterbury with a flexible roster that isn’t often seen, this large dairy farm milks 1450 cows through an 80-bale rotary on a 350ha farm.

Paid on an hourly rate + a warm semi furnished house

You will bring the following:

• Eagerness to learn
• Effective communication skills
• First class attitude to health and safety and animal welfare
• Self-motivation, initiative and a passion for dairy farming
• Restricted or full driver's licence
• An appetite for pasture management e.g. farm walks and allocation of feed
• The ability to work unsupervised and great communication skills
• Pride in yourself, your work and surrounding environment
• A passion for working with stock

Essential Requirements:

• Current CV with 2 contactable work references
• Pass a drug test
• Current license
• Reliable transport
